Secure payment by Stripe
Payment for your orders is handled by Stripe, a payment service provider. After clicking “Order and pay”, you are redirected to a secure payment page hosted by Stripe. You then return to the Globtrott Retails website for confirmation of your order.
Accepted payment methods
- Bank cards: CB, Visa, Mastercard;
- depending on whether they are enabled and on your device: Apple Pay, Google Pay;
- where applicable, the other payment methods offered by Stripe and displayed on the payment page.
The payment methods available for your order are those displayed on the payment page at the time of purchase.
When your account is debited
Prices are stated and payable in euros, inclusive of VAT. The total amount of the order, including delivery charges, is debited at the time of the order, when payment is accepted.
Security of your bank details
Your bank details are entered directly on Stripe's page, via an encrypted connection. Globtrott Retails never sees or stores your card numbers. We receive only the payment confirmation and limited information about the transaction (amount, reference, status, type of payment method).
Depending on your bank, you may be asked for strong authentication (for example, approval in your banking app or a code received by text message).
Declined payment
If payment is declined or abandoned, the order is not confirmed and no amount is debited. You can try again or use another payment method.
Fraud prevention
Transactions are subject to automated checks by Stripe in order to prevent fraud. In the event of serious doubt, Globtrott Retails may cancel an order; any amounts debited are then refunded in full.
Refunds
Refunds (withdrawal, unavailability, legal guarantee) are made using the payment method used for the order, unless you expressly agree to another method, and at no cost to you. The time it then takes for the refund to appear on your account depends on your bank.
